Attorney Profile

Ian D. Brodsky

I particularly appreciate working with small to mid-sized businesses and the entrepreneurs behind them to accomplish their goals and grow their businesses.  That is why I opened this law firm and focused on the areas of business law, real estate, and asset protection.

Prior to private practice, I served as an Administrative Law Judge at the Illinois Commerce Commission, and presided in hundreds of cases involving energy, water, and telecommunications matters concerning rates and tariffs, transmission and distribution, interconnection, and other public utility infrastructure issues.

I earned a B.A. from the College of William and Mary in Virginia for undergraduate studies in economics and biology, and a J.D. and an M.B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  I was admitted to practice in Illinois in 2002, and am a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.

When not at work, I enjoy playing bluegrass and old-time folk music.  I also am a proud member of the Small Business Advocacy Council, an association based in Chicago dedicated to the needs and interests of small business.
